Contemplating foreclosure is not a familiar place for most homeowners.  It is important to get professional advice and weigh all your options before proceeding.  There are so many tax and legal consequences to foreclosure as well as short selling and even loan modification.  Make sure that you consult with your CPA (Acountant) and a Real Estate Attorney before you make your final decision.  If you do not have a good Accountant and/or Attorney, here are some that I have found to be reliable.
